My Kinda Busy Week

Well its official..my little baby boy is a year old. :') Its kinda bittersweet, he's grown so much over the last year and it's all flashed right before my eyes.
So the day before his birthday (Monday) we went to the lake and did some swimming, took him a little while but he loved the water. We all had a blast, though he was a complete momma's boy after a little while, no one could hold him in the water except me and he didn't like it whenever Daddy or his Auntie Liz splashed me either just made him cry, poor thing. Down side about the lake that we were at was every time I tried to relax on the bank and read my book Ants kept biting me! It was terrible! Then if it wasn't ants it was these tiny little bugs that were bigger the Chiggers but smaller the Seed Ticks, they hurt and itched a lot.
For his birthday we went to Bass Pro for a little while, then went to see a movie, did some birthday shopping, went swimming since it was so HOT, then later instead of having cake we had fruit salad since Gideon loves Fruit so much. :)

My little sister got here on Sunday for her visit, and she'll be here until this coming Sunday. It's been good to have her here, its funny watching her changing a poopy diaper. :P haha

Mr. K is working today and tomorrow so I'm going to try and get some cleaning done but we'll see what I get done. I thought my headaches had gone away but for the past few days they've come back and it's been making it hard to do things. :( Wish I could find my Peppermint Oil to see if that would help but since we moved to this Apt I haven't been able to find it anywhere. So I'm having to stick with Tylenol and Migraine meds, which just don't help as much.
Friday I'm not totally sure what we'll be doing, we'll see what we feel up to doing. On Saturday we got church and hopefully VolleyBall with friends, which is always fun. :) Then on Sunday my Sister is leaving to go back home, so that means another trip to Dallas, which I don't mind that much but Mr. K on the other hand isn't that fond of the city, it stresses him out, so when we get back home there'll probably be a lot of relaxing but right now that sounds really good.

Feeling Random

My Lil Sis Is Coming to Visit!!! :D Haven't seen her or the rest of my family in Missouri since the end of March, so its gonna be great to see her. :) My Mom was gonna come too but things came up and she can't come :( But hopefully I'll get to see her and maybe my brothers later in the year, and if my Dad ain't working, him too. :)
My Older Sis, tho I haven't seen for almost 3 years. 0.0 It sucks when you're living 2000 miles away from family. She hasn't even met her lil nephew yet, but hopefully here soon she will get too. :)

Well today we are having the water cut off for a few hours so they can fix a leak. I was worried they might not get to it until close to dinner time (Land-Lady said they'd be doing it anytime between 8:30am and 5:30pm) but thankfully they are doing it now (around noon).

I had to get some blood drawn today at the Hospital for a blood count, I'm glad it didn't take as long as I thought it would, but I think the Lady who drew my blood missed my vain the first time 'cause it really hurt! I can usually stand the needle and pain but that first time she put it in it did NOT feel good. :'( So she had to take it out and try again with a second needle, she got it that time thankfully. I'll be getting the results back tomorrow, I'm hoping its not that bad and/but that it'll explain the Headaches and Dizziness I've been having lately, but we shall see.

OK, so as I'm writing this I hear Gideon crawling around playing with paper and some sheets of stickers that he got outta the scrapbook area. I look over at him make sure he's not like putting them in his mouth or anything, and whats he doin?? He's taking the paper he has/finds and is putting it in the trash bucket. *sigh* I better keep an eye on the papers that he gets his hands on, I don't want to be throwing out any important paper work. :P

Living in the City

Ya know, even though I really miss living in the Country, living on the out-skirts of town really ain't that bad. Sure it gets a little noisy at times-especially when you live by a Hospital, and when some of your neighbors drive motorcycles- but at time it can be a little peaceful and relaxing. It might not be as peaceful and relaxing as it is in the Country but hey, its better then nothing.
We still can hear crickets outside our window sometimes so that's definitely nice, and we get birds that like to roost outside our windows also, especially since we put up our bird-feeder on the porch. The other day I stepped out of our door and accidentally scared two birds away when they were feeding.
After I put Gideon to bed on some nights, Mr K. and I like to go sit out on the porch and enjoy the evening together. Though we really can't wait until we get a house and be able to really set up our porch nicer and more cozy-right now we just got two camping chairs and a little plant to make this porch feel a little homey.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful for the place we have right now, but like my Husband says very often, "I can not wait until we get our own house, out in the middle of no where!". :)

As I'm writing this I'm sitting out on the porch with Mr K. and he's telling me about some of the things him and his brother did when they were younger. He said, one thing about living in the City you don't get as many snakes here as you do in the country. I replied saying that we also don't get as many spiders either. And he was like spiders aren't that bad, I'd hold on in my hand and have no problem. He went on saying that when him and his brother were younger that they use to pull the legs off of Daddy Long Leg Spiders until they only had one leg left. How mean is that?! Poor Spiders! Though what little boy hasn't taken the legs off of a Daddy Long Leg, I know my little brothers use to do it. :P  I mean, how would they feel if some big giant came and started pulling their limbs off, just leaving their bodies and heads to roll around? Mr K. thought I was very funny, saying one minute I didn't want having a spider around and then the next minute trying to defend them.
Some how after telling me about Spiders he switched the topic to a big fish story, how "when he was about 3 years old he caught this HUGE Bass Fish,
while his friend Zack just caught these tiny fish's". Haha, my life is hardly ever boring. :P But I enjoy hearing about my husband's childhood-even if he exaggerates on the details sometime ;) cause I get to learn something new about him or understand more on how he became the Amazing Man that he is. :)

Cherish the Moments

We take life to seriously sometimes! Sometimes I forget that it's not all about just taking care of baby, cleaning the house, and cooking. I've got to remember to cherish the moments I have, to stop and smell the roses or the little smiles and laughs my son gives me when I play with him or tickle his feet. :) Or when my Husband gets a day off from work and we spend it together as a family.
Its amazing how much we let slip by us cuz we're 'too busy' or too worried/stressed about something that has already happened or might or might not even happen.

For the past few days I've seen Gideon, my son, starting to stand more and more on his own, and I think to myself "Where has the time gone? What happened to my little baby that needed me to hold him all the time so he could look around the room?"

My Story

Hey Y'all!
I figured as my first blog post I'd introduce myself and tell a little bit about my life for those of you who don't know me as well. :)
I was born in Portland Oregon and lived there until I was 7 years old; three siblings were born there as well-the twin Elizabeth and Edward, then the youngest Jeremiah. I also have a older half-sister,Kayla, that we got to see every so often.
Since we lived in the city we did a lot of street preaching, mostly at Abortion Mills, Parades, the City Square, and Saturday Markets. After that my Dad got a job as a boilermaker so we packed up, bought a 35 foot RV and traveled around the USA for my Dad's job, not living in one place for more then 3 months at a time.
Finally on August 9th, 2003 we moved into a house that was on 33 acres out in Missouri. Us kids loved it there, it was like a mansion to us! We had our Dalmatian, Daisy, and our Cat, Socks, with us, and when we got to our new house two stray Beagle dogs greeted us that we ended up adopting. :)
Over the next few years we got different animals, more dogs, cats, horses, goats, a cow, sheep, chickens, and turkeys.
Us children also joined the 4-H group in our area for a little while, took music lessons at Weeks Music then at the Sing His Praises Homeschool Orchestra and Choir, and my brothers were also able to join C.A.P (Civil Air Patrol).
In 2004 we met some new people who introduced us to the Sacred Name and Feast days from the bible. My family soon started using the Sacred Name and doing Feast days. :)
On December 10th, 2010 I met my husband for the first time-in person. We had first met online in 2006 through a mutual friends website/chat-room but he was 17 and I was 13 so it was kinda just a friend thing, we had emailed a little bit, lost contact then found each other on Facebook a couple years later. At first it was just two friends meeting (plus my dad had really scared him when they met, haha) but then he offered to give my Nana and I a ride back to Dallas so that we didn't have to take a bus and we kinda bonded after that. We started Courting/Dating in January 2011, got engage April 6, 2011, I graduated from Highschool in May, turned 18 in August and we got married September 17. It was one of the best days of my life! :D I moved to Texas right after the wedding where my Husband lived. And in July 2012 I had our son. YaHWeH has blessed me so much!
We have had our tough days, but we have been able to work it out and its made us stronger. :)

That pretty much brings us up to date.
Here soon my Little man is turning a year old, its so amazing how time flies by! It's like we blink and just years fly by. I guess that's why when we're children our parents say to enjoy it while we can 'cause when we're older time will go by faster, and that we cherish the moments that we have.
